      Laws Re: Auto Knives

I suspect no different than a regular auto knife in MD. You'd need a carry permit, which allows for "dangerous weapons" and includes the nefarious switchblades, sand clubs etc. While the unlicensed can carry auto knives, they can't be concealed, so you'd need a pocket clip. But I don't know how...

Montgomery County Gun Buyback: Interfaith GVP Network Aims to Hit $30,000 Goal by April 20

I get that, but many here are worn down by reading it over and over again. Why not take out our frustrations by meeting with those who sponsor the events, and explaining to them how you feel, and why?

Ninth Circuit - USA v DUARTE

As I read Article 1, Section 8, outside of the military and within the confines of areas ceded to the federal government by the states, the only authority the federal govt has over individuals would involve counterfeiting currency and federal debt securities, and "To define and punish Piracies...

Ninth Circuit - USA v DUARTE

From Volokh Conspiracy today (emphasis mine): When Inglewood, Calif. police officers make to pull car over, a passenger tosses a gun out of the window; he's later convicted of being a felon in possession—he has five prior convictions. But does the fact that they were all non-violent make this...

      Trespass by Md DNR Police

Here's a brief description of a recent TN case, from today's Volokh Conspiracy brief summary of recent decisions: Flawless victory! It is with great fellowship and soaring spirit that we report to you that the Tennessee Court of Appeals has ruled that the state constitution cannot abide state...

2024 - HB329 (SB102) - Public Safety - Handgun Permits - Expiration and Renewal Periods for Retired Law Enforcement Officer

It's not their votes; it's having the loyalty of an armed force. Take a look at Central and South American politics. As we trend gradually toward Third World government styles, this will have a similar trend. You may be too young to recall the Right Wing Death Squads in Central America as...

2024 - HB329 (SB102) - Public Safety - Handgun Permits - Expiration and Renewal Periods for Retired Law Enforcement Officer

Any favoritism is bound to have some influence on a portion of the favored group. Don't take it personally; human nature or Original Sin or monkey DNA bears the burden of blame.

By ensuring the loyalty of those whose duty is to defend the realm. Politicians represent the realm, whether or not they're dirty. But handing out favors buys loyalty. Or at least that's the hope, and the motivation.

SHUSH Act?? Federal removal of Suppressors from NFA ?

Bosh. This would open the marketplace to even more competition, quality would increase as research into materials, design and fabrication would drive market share, and everyone would benefit. Regulation ALWAYS increases costs, stifles innovation, and limits availability.

NY State Senator Wants to Ban Glock Pistols and Switches

Well, I could make a strong case for de-dicking politicians, to prevent their making even more politicians. On the whole, the political class is much more of a threat to society than the occasional rapist.
