Florida seems to do well with the School Guardians, armed security guards wearing high viz t shirts.
I can’t imagine a state like MD ever letting that fly, local Police departments can’t even hire enough decent quality people anymore. A program like that here will end up with a lot more people who shouldn’t be doing that job
Up here in Harford I’m pretty sure I saw Aberdeen got rid of their school resource program and let the Sheriffs Office take over. I guess their excuse was “staffing” but there was probably more to it than just that
