I also have the 6-pack pro and really like it. I never really used any other presses though so take that for what it is. I briefly messed with the Lee 4000. The primer mechanism on this as stated above is awesome. I have lost maybe 3-4 primers. I got the stick on LED fitted light for it which...
Hey what will you trade me for an unused Lee 4000 press? I have most of the parts. Press itself is 100% complete but I got a 6-pack press and took the powder drop because they didn't have the deluxe 6-pack kit in stock. I think I have 2 plates. 44 mag and 6.5 grendel. Just looked I think I just...
The new 6 pack Lee press has a new priming system that is fairly accurate. The issues are usually me with inconsistent cranking. Once in awhile I'll get lazy and one will get crimped. Overall as long as I pay close attention it's reliable. The other Lee priming is garbage.
I was going to go with the minimum load and test with a chronograph. I know that doesn't equate exactly to pressure but I have no way to test pressures.
I am confused how reloading recipe are formulated. For instance, I reload 6.5 Grendel. I use 123 grain bullets and the recipe (I use the Hodgdon recipe calculator) specifies to use Accurate 2230 (among others). If I move to a 129 grain bullet, there is no recipe using any Accurate powder. For...
I've never had any issues with any of mine. They all run like a top. I have 5 .223s and 2 "other". I wonder if it is the ammo? I don't think there would be a problem with factory ammo but maybe some reloads could cause issues?
Cleaned up the bullets and primers that I pulled and punched. They had various amounts of powder clinging to them. I got the below and it works great. Sift from one sieve to the other and in a minute all the powder was off.
I highly recommend it!

I don't need to do anything now because all of these bullets are pulled, powder dumped, and primers punched out. I was looking more for a post-mortem on this and what could I have done. When I tested the cases that would not fit, I found the primer end of the case was ever so slightly larger...
One way I found my reloads were not working is I removed the upper from the lower, put the upper in a stand (upside down), and manually fed the rounds. I found many of them would not seat all the way and were getting stuck in the bore. Have you tried putting your empties back in the bore and...
