United Gun Shop in Rockville has a room devoted to consignments, including a number of milsurps. 2A Sales in Jessup also does consignments. I've been a satisfied buyer for both.
Ya never know. Someone may have what you want, and then its worth your while. The HoCo show is not a large one. Gettysburg show is bigger, and Nations gun show in Chantilly is even bigger. Since you've not been to one before, my $0.02 is go and enjoy what's there, just don't expect too much.
It is likely a limit imposed by whatever company provides their internet and/or email server. The rationale is to limit the amount of spam email spewed out by an organization. Even legit organizations can be compromised by some hack and start sending spam email at the maximum rate possible.
Consider a GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) license. $35 for 10 years, NO examination, and covers your immediate family. GMRS won't have the long-distance range of some amateur radio bands, but is good for local communication.
And the amateur radio test isn't that hard as you don't have to...
I had the same experience in VA on 301. Several VA lawyers sent me mail offering to represent me for the ticket. Don't know if they are any good, but it seems like this is their area of specialization.
Last time I needed to use a flashlight? Several times a week. Looking at fine detail on something, or reading a serial number on a machine, or crawling on the basement floor looking for that spring that went flying... Also at dusk when walking the dog so that cars see us.
I use it as a chance to look at the firearm in detail and see if I can figure out what the various parts do. And if I don't get around to cleaning it before the next range trip, I don't beat myself up. I rarely go so far as to take a revolver or rifle bolt completely apart.
