I am trying to stay heritage. My main test this year is growing to really feed us, not supplement. Trying corn with beans growing on them to see if the production is better. I get crap corn without fertilizer.
Trying yellow dent also as field corn seems to be more stable and stronger stalked...
I got M dies for 30-06 and 30-30 and my honest opinion, I like the Lee Universal better. It makes a much milder flare on the case mouth and can be used for most rifle cartridge's. M dies are cartridge specific. I have also made cases look like a trumpet with and M die that was adjusted too...
Okay, got my micrometer to my desk
30-06
Hornady case neck .306 - Wont take the bullet
Fire brass from my rifle - .3075 .304 .307 .305 .3055 .307 .309 The bold ones will take a bullet in the neck, but bounce on the lube grooves. Its like the crimp edge did not relax. Normal test will...
I am becoming frustrated with this. I ordered the 30-06, 30-30 and 6.8 cases from Midway and they got delivered. The necks on the modified cases are just as tight as all other cases and the bullet does not slip in it. I measured a bullet at .309 and the gas check won;t even slide in. It would...
I went bow fishing once, Tried eat carp once. Tried baking with lemon and dill, tried deep frying, even tried barbecue sauce. That was the most awful fish I ever tried. Maybe tore up on like coddy cakes with batter and spices? I'd have to be starving. I flat out love eating bluefish also.
Best...
Damn, went to spray the house and garage with termite killer and the backpack spray broke also. Wouldn't spray, leaking down my azz. Lost all the chemical and needed a shower. :lol2:
Now on compost piles as blacksmith posted, How are y'all managing them? You got sides? I've been looking for...
I never even wanted to reload and after the supply chain problem and seeing how venerable I, or the family, could be. I started reloading and casting bullets. Growing food too, but that is another story.
Used to hunt with Remington core-lokts and those have gone from $17.99 to $28.50 and that...
Anyone have recommendation for 2 gallon sprays that don't stop spraying after two years? I keep them in the garage over winter to prevent freezing. The old metal can sprayer with metal valves just are not around any more that I see.
Have you all drilled and taped fired cases? Or I have to buy the Hornady cases?
I bought the drill and tap but my 30-06 bullets and 6.8 bullets don't size sized bullets in and out of the freely to work with this to check the chamber.
EDIT - Damn looks like you have to order their brass to get...
NM, I found the parts list and the number are the part numbers. They don't include that in the packaging so you can tell which one to use. They should have included a chart
Okay, so I bought the Bullet Comparator set. Part # B14 and it lists below as the bullet types. The instruction don't explain which insert is for which number. I looked on their website for the part and don't see a chart.
The inserts have number like shown below. IMO, once you get to 6 they...
Rows 3 and 4 of potatoes in this morning. 30 or so per row on 3' spaced rows. 15” to 18” spacing of seeds and 3’ rows. Peppers go in at the steaks. Rows are wide enough at 9’ for peppers for the tractor to till after potatoes are harvested. White stuff is a hand full of wood stove ash
