I thought I'd update this - I just ordered a set of Axil XCOR ear buds - I hope they are everything everyone says they are, although reviews are mixed. Some guys love them, some guys think they are lacking. I'll report back when I have had the chance to use them.- trickg

I actually do - never thought I did, but more and more I've been thinking about it, especially now that Form 4s are coming back in record times. -
Aguila ammo any good? Any problems jamming?
That's not a great analogy IMO. My wife is a quilter and believe me, sewing machines - even good ones like the Pfaff my wife uses - have issues. -

Thanks to 4g64loser, between parts and tools, I have close to $3k into this build, and it's only a $500 scope. But it shoots! :) -
AGC Spent Brass Lock Boxes
Gotta say I’m somewhat disappointed by this turn of events. I’m at AGC all the time these days (I was there today) and never noticed the lock boxes. A lot of my 223 ammo stock came from reloading AGC range pickup. -

CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?
I have a 26" barrel on my 223 varmint rifle. In hindsight, maybe a threaded 22" would have been a better choice, but with a 223 there's still velocity to gain by going longer, although I'm not sure if there's any advantage for trajectory. With that said, a can on the end of a 26" barrel would... -

That's an 18" barrel. I'd like a longer barrel for the aesthetic, but functionally I think 16.5" is all you need for 22 LR. A longer barrel would give a better sight radius if I was using iron sights, but I'm not, so the 18" is more than fine. Those battleship targets are modified. My wife... -

Here you go. This is the rifle, and this is a target I shot with it at 50 yards using some cheap Winchester high velocity (1300 fps) ammo. Not my best shooting, but it's solid enough. -

I saw someone with a spinner setup at the 50 yard distance at the 100 yard range yesterday - just checked the range rules, and those are in fact allowed, so that's something to consider, although if I did get something like that, I'd likely stage it out at the 100 yard line - hitting something... -

It's not going to be an issue - I zeroed at 50 without issue, and I have plenty of room to dial up to 100 - I seriously doubt I'll ever shoot this gun beyond that, and If I really need to, I can figure out my reticle holds. That's what I was doing yesterday. The missus and I were playing... -

Budget 308 bolt rifle?
When I was first looking into doing a 223 rifle for varmints, I looked at a Ruger American Predator. They consistently review well and are apparently quite good for no more than they cost. If I was looking for a budget gun, that's what I'd get. -
