Have you ever tallied up the amount of money that you’ve spent on one gun?

That rifle ended up being everything I wanted it to be. If I have any complaints it would be: 1. Length 2. Weight It's a very big rifle and it's heavy. In hindsight, I may not have "needed" a 26" barrel, but with 223 I gained velocity with each additional inch of barrel, and that was part of...

      In ear protection electronic

I thought I'd update this - I just ordered a set of Axil XCOR ear buds - I hope they are everything everyone says they are, although reviews are mixed. Some guys love them, some guys think they are lacking. I'll report back when I have had the chance to use them.

Have you ever tallied up the amount of money that you’ve spent on one gun?

I actually do - never thought I did, but more and more I've been thinking about it, especially now that Form 4s are coming back in record times.

Aguila ammo any good? Any problems jamming?

That's not a great analogy IMO. My wife is a quilter and believe me, sewing machines - even good ones like the Pfaff my wife uses - have issues.

Thanks to 4g64loser, between parts and tools, I have close to $3k into this build, and it's only a $500 scope. But it shoots! :)

      AGC Spent Brass Lock Boxes

Gotta say I’m somewhat disappointed by this turn of events. I’m at AGC all the time these days (I was there today) and never noticed the lock boxes. A lot of my 223 ammo stock came from reloading AGC range pickup.

Why is the Glock 21 the best pistol on the market today?

Clearly what you really need is the legendary 88 Magnum.

Just moved to Carroll County from Baltimore, looking to join the AGC.

Initially I joined Meade Rifle & Pistol Club, but ended up joining MSI for 2 reasons: 1.) It's a good idea anyway - they do a lot of great stuff on the legal front when it comes to the gun laws and our rights in this state - probably more than any other single organization - and thus it's a...

Why is the Glock 21 the best pistol on the market today?

:puke: No thanks. There are plenty of other 45s I’d own before buying a Glock.

Handguns no longer allowed to have threaded barrels?

I see what you did there. :D

Handguns no longer allowed to have threaded barrels?

I just emailed them a link to this thread. I wonder if they'll take the time to look at it.

      CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?

I have a 26" barrel on my 223 varmint rifle. In hindsight, maybe a threaded 22" would have been a better choice, but with a 223 there's still velocity to gain by going longer, although I'm not sure if there's any advantage for trajectory. With that said, a can on the end of a 26" barrel would...

      CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?

That's an 18" barrel. I'd like a longer barrel for the aesthetic, but functionally I think 16.5" is all you need for 22 LR. A longer barrel would give a better sight radius if I was using iron sights, but I'm not, so the 18" is more than fine. Those battleship targets are modified. My wife...

      CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?

Here you go. This is the rifle, and this is a target I shot with it at 50 yards using some cheap Winchester high velocity (1300 fps) ammo. Not my best shooting, but it's solid enough.

      CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?

I saw someone with a spinner setup at the 50 yard distance at the 100 yard range yesterday - just checked the range rules, and those are in fact allowed, so that's something to consider, although if I did get something like that, I'd likely stage it out at the 100 yard line - hitting something...

      CZ 457, Bergara B14R, or....?

It's not going to be an issue - I zeroed at 50 without issue, and I have plenty of room to dial up to 100 - I seriously doubt I'll ever shoot this gun beyond that, and If I really need to, I can figure out my reticle holds. That's what I was doing yesterday. The missus and I were playing...

CZ 457 Varmint, or Trick Out my 10/22

It looks like my best bet is to just get the CZ rather than to try to make a silk purse from a sow's ear. Of course nothing says that I can't fiddle with the Ruger later. It's funny - I saw that Ruger sitting on the rack at Bart's Sports World (which let's you know how long I've had it) and I...

      Budget 308 bolt rifle?

When I was first looking into doing a 223 rifle for varmints, I looked at a Ruger American Predator. They consistently review well and are apparently quite good for no more than they cost. If I was looking for a budget gun, that's what I'd get.

CZ 457 Varmint, or Trick Out my 10/22

The CZ certainly has a following and I think it would be a tack driver out of the box with the right ammo. When I first started down the rabbit hole looking into mods to the 10/22, I was looking at Shaw barrels, but they seem to be hit or miss, and the YouTube reviews weren't great. The...

CZ 457 Varmint, or Trick Out my 10/22

Now that I have a Bergara B14R 22 LR, I think I want to put together another one. Why not, right? Variety is the spice of life! With that said, do I pick up another bolt gun with the CZ 457 Varmint (this was my original choice before I got the Bergara) or should I trick out the nearly unused...
