I have a bit of a love affair with CZ bolt actions with wood stocks, however all of mine are legacy models (550, 557, 527, and 455). I don't know too much about the 600 besides the recall issues they had when they first came out, and there seems to be very little info out there on the internet...
I bought myself my first Colt 1911 when my daughter was born. When my son was born this past July I got a CMP 1911.
That being said I've been buying like crazy recently, stuff that I think they unfortunately won't have the opportunity to buy. I hope I'm wrong. Hope (and vote) for the best but...
I recently (less than 2 months ago) sold 3 guns through United and it was a very easy and painless process. I would wholeheartedly recommend using them.
Wait what's wrong with kydex holsters?!
Personally, I agree with you about red dots on pistols - I've tried it and I'm not really a fan. People can do what they want, but I'll stick with my iron sights. Iron sights feel like home.
I haven't bought a holster yet unfortunately, sorry! I do think I'm pretty much set on getting the red hill tactical one when I do scoop one up though.
Have you shot your Shadow 2 yet? I've put about 250 rounds through mine so far and man I am in love. One of those rare times where a product...
Welcome! Because you said you are new to firearms, I am going to remind you to learn and commit the basic rules of firearm safety to memory:
-Treat every firearm as if it is loaded
-Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
-Know your target and what is behind it
-Never...
My go-to is a CZ 557 chambered in 270, zeroed at 200 yards. The main property I hunt has a lot of open areas so my average shot during rifle is around 150-175 yards. I use factory Winchester deer season xp ammo. Works like a charm!
I also have a Winchester XPR in 308 that I use as a loaner...
Yep, it came in with no mags. Sucks to lose out on them, but the price was so good I didn't mind. Fortunately I bought mags over the summer knowing I'd be scooping up a Shadow 2 at some point.
You do bring up a very good point, I think it would be nice to have pouches like you're talking about that could accommodate different kinds of mags if I wanted to run one of my Glocks or a 1911. I'll check out your suggestions too before making a decision.
I appreciate it fellas! The RHT stuff looks great. Does it make sense to get one of their packages with belt, holster, and mag pouches? Its pricey but would take a lot of the guesswork out of it.
