I've been reloading since the 90's, 9's, 38/357 and 45 ACP/Colt/Auto Rim. Have seen lots of people posting lately that they are using truncated cone bullets. My question is why? What is the advantage over round nose. I don't think I've seen any factory TCs, but then since I'm a reloader, I don't...
+1 on HKS. Mine too are >30yrs old, simple reliable and if the OP is used to HKS, stick with that style. Practice and muscle memory will make them easier to use under stress.
The rules of interest to me only apply to handguns, there is a separate rules for long guns. If you want to buy a gun it has to be on the roster, which I have applied the Cimarron below for (see...
Call me a fool.
It was an interesting experience, only a 20 minute drive and took no more than 5 minutes on site. Must have been a dozen LEO on site, parking lot was setup one way in and out. There were two LEOs out front directing traffic to the back entrance. Two LEOs at the entrance asked...
Historically, it was chambered in .38 with the shorter barrel for the Navy. Sites mostly list it as a New Army no matter the caliber and barrel length. I thought about getting the .38 but I have more fun reloading and shooting the .45 (Colt, ACP and Auto Rims.)
My opinion precisely. Unfortunately, now I have to wait for the next production run.
I enjoy shooting my Vaquero, feels like shooting a bit of history. Thought that this would take me a little further back. Ii have no interest in black powder, but the history of the 1858 Remington is interesting.
I submitted a revolver for approval and was amazed to see the number of handguns that have also been submitted. These will all join the roster unless someone appeals:

If you look up some reloading data, you can see what the max/hot loads are. Then look for factory rounds that list similar velocities.
Buffalo Bore has some great 10mm rounds...
the heavier bags are now been used for curb side pick-up so people that use that regularly are ending up with piles of reusable bags. I use cloth bags that will decompose if disposed of properly. Which I plan to do, after I turn them into gun cleaning patches.
Is there anything that would fall in the category of muffler instead of silencer? I'm imaging something that is smaller and reduces the noise enough that you wouldn't have to have hearing protection on in a home invasion situation.
I just started my wait for a Glock G48 last night and started wondering what the heck is the practical purpose of a 7 day waiting period when The People's Republic of Maryland knows I already own at least 2 handguns (purchased in MD since COVID.)
I loaded a box of 45 ACP with different charges and figured out I must have forgotten to resize the cases. They are still in a bin on my reloading bench since I only have a hammer type kinetic bullet puller to deconstruct them.
