Savage 11VT in .308

I have been considering this rifle, in place of the Remington 700 in .308, due to what Remington has done in New York.

The Savage 11VT has a bull barrel, synthetic stock, accutrigger (I believe).

Any thoughts on this particular rifle guys?

It's a Savage, so out of the box it will be a tack driver.

It looks like it has the same barrel as my 10FLCP-K; a 24", 1:10 twist. It will shoot heavier .308 bullets (168gr and 175gr) really well.

Thanks BenL. It's at DSG, and even though I don't like them, they have the gun in stock now.

The 11VT is a DSG exclusive. If you aren't happy with them, consider just getting another Model 11 at another establishment.

pigfrmr, I saw that, and it looks SHARP, I just don't have $1600 to drop at one time, or I might just have to go after that one.
