This may well be a duplicate Post, in fact I'm sure it is but I need an update if someone can help.

I live in N.E. Maryland, have an 03 FFL for 20 plus years, and for the hell of it picked up a MSP Designated Collector Certificate, keep my Bound Book to the letter and do everything possible to follow the rules for Collecting.

My forte I like to Collect Pre and Post WWI and WWII Police Weapons (model is sufficient if not specifically marked or Proofed Police) Weapons for whatever reason ATF failed to put on the list like the vzor 70 which replaced the Police Vzor 50, which is on the list I pay the $35 transfer fee to one of the local 01 Dealers.

My problem, Action Arms has a policy that any weapon they sell in Maryland must be on the Maryland Handgun roster. I have checked everywhere on the Net for the Maryland Handgun Roster and keep drawing a blank. Each time I get a "Page not found" or a Site that comes up but dead ends no matter what I click on.

To call MSP I usually get a "Duh" or conflicting answers. The only straight answer I got was "The Weapon (Collectible) must have been made before 1985 and if not on the Federal C&R List, it must be transfered by an 01 FFL Dealer.

Anyone know if the Md Handgun Roster has been taken down, defunct, moved or other reason it will no longer come up?

Am I safe playing by Federal Rules (I know Import of 20 plus Mags are a No in Md ) other than that am I on safe Ground.

    Thanks,
    Ed

    They moved it here:
    http://www.msp.maryland.gov/Organiz...u/FirearmsPermitsLicensing/HandgunRoster.aspx

That said, your dealer is wrong, and if the gun is C&R, he can ship it straight to you regardless of date. Maryland cannot regulate interstate sales (yay commerce clause!), and does not attempt to. In fact, the only reason you can't just ship in 30rd magazines here is because the state was clever enough to put "receive" in that law.

    Thanks,
Great news, especially in the Socialist Stat of Md. The Same Action Arms Dealer who has a shop close by to NE MD. insist it is illegal for him to sell a 20 Plus to a Md resident, even if he sells in his Pa. Shop,

My moneys going to another Pa Dealer even if I need to do a longer drive.

Thanks for putting me straight, I get ten different answers from MSP and no one gave me the new email address. A Special thanks to Bel Air

    Ed

    Thanks,
I just Bookmarked the new Site, see no changes that would effect C&R, I should have asked here first

Sometimes I'm a Dumb Ass by thinking asking the people who make the rules can give you an answer

If the sale/transfer takes place outside of MD; perfectly legal.
Sounds like he doesn't want to sell to us oppressed Md gunowners:sad20:
