Hi, he is correct, we were originally misinformed on this unit. This appears to be a conversion to a 25-rd fixed magazine. I also found recently that the original air service rifles had cut down stocks that look similar to a lot of the sporterizing done to many surplus rifles post war.

I am not sure who did the conversion unfortunately. We procured this in an estate, so it is likely that it was converted by the owner who passed.
