Also, I've been reading that 30-06 Cases can be converted to 7.7 Jap.
    Can this be true ?,
"the brass for this caliber is easily made from .30 ’06 brass. Chop off about a 1/4 inch, then run into the sizing die and trim to length."
    Sounds to easy!

Norma and now Hornady now make brass, why bother using other that the real thing?

Norma and Hornady are expensive! I will be Loading the 7.7 for my nephew who's looking for Plinking Loads! He has a box of Commerical Ammo and paid over $25.00, that was a few years back!!!

Case head separations can cause damage. You might want to rethink using this rifle for a plinker.

Trapture the 7.7 Jap and the .303 British use the same diameter bullet at .311. But the brass (cases) are not the same or interchangeable.

    Good luck

The Hornady Metric line has 7.7 Jap. I bought a bunch. They are using Graf and Sons brass. You can buy from Graf directly. Before Norma made it you had to use 30'06 brass to make 7.7 Jap brass. Continental sold it a 23 dollars. I don't shoot mine to often and never had a problems. Get it checked out by a Gunsmith, and then it should be alright to shoot. They are fun.
