I'm not clear on what you're looking for.

Are you looking for a carry-handle mounted rail? To adapt a Picatinny mount to an A1/A2 upper?

If so, I probably have at least one or two and would give you one. Only catch, I'm leaving in about an hour to go to Oklahoma and won't be back until the 10th.

To be honest, if I understand your request correctly, you're asking for two different things that don't work together.

Yes, first thing you need is the carry handle. To my knowledge, all A1 and A2 carry handles (perm and detachable) have the hole to mount an ACOG directly to it via the screw/nut/washer you speak of. If that's how you plan to mount your ACOG, you don't need a picitinny adapter, just the carry handle, ACOG and the screw/nut/washer. Trijicon sells them if you don't get one here.

However, if you plan to mount your ACOG with the often configured picitinny base attached to it, then you need the picitinny rail adapter for the carry handle (and it attaches through the same hole as mentioned above).

I've tried both, and vastly prefer direct mount of the ACOG to the carry handle w/out use of the rail adapter. It reduces the height of the cheek riser adapter you'll need to add to your butt stock.

Honestly, that cheek riser is an issue. You need close to 2" (+/-) to get eye alignment with the ACOG, and you lose use of peep sights at the same time.

I'd highly recommend you put the ACOG w/picitinny adapter directly on your upper via the built in picitinny rail. If you're running an A2 front sight, you'll have to deal with a little FOV interference but it's not terrible. You can always run a BUS rear sight as the alternate.

Lastly, check the eye relief of the ACOG, the popular 4x32 series eye relief is unforgiving at 1.5", which even with the scope mouted all the way to the rear of an AR upper, puts your nose nearly touching the charging handle. And guess where a lot of that excess blow back gas escapes?

    Good luck!

    Hello Gunny1998,
I have a 3.5x35 and a 4x32 ACOG. I do understand the exact eye relief of the 4x32 :-). I am looking to mount using the screw hole as you describe. The picatinny rail reference was only for the interface to the top of the receiver.
