This is a continuation thread from here:

So this is what I started with. A slightly screwed up cammo stock.

That works. Hmmm needs to be broken up a bit:

Better. Next get rid of the two piece mounts and put a 20 MOA steel mount by Warne:

Not the permanent scope but makes the scope look better:

Save yourself some money and get the Viper HS Tactical Midway exclusive. The only real difference is it isn't an illuminated reticle and the HS is mil dot.

If you have a c&r it knocks $100 off the list price with a dealer account at midway too. Might have to think about picking one up for $399 it seems like a nice scope.

Except they aren't due in until September 9. I can't wait that long to shoot this critter!

Damn that is a long wait. I'm glad I grabbed mine when I did. I paid $399 also. One cheap upgrade I just did that is worlds better is the KRG bolt knob It's simple and well made. I highly recommend it if you aren't getting a custom tac knob installed right away.

Yeah I thought about that. I like that it isn't permanent. My next major hurdle (not counting my abilities) is possible the stock. Wanna get it right first, but thanks!

The Manners mini chassis stocks are awesome but big $ like the AI. The McCree chassis is a little cheaper but still not cheap. THe B@C and HS are somewhat more affordable but definitely not as well made. I went with the HS as I think it's a good bit better than the BC and not much more expensive.

Well to make it even trickier I am left handed. Not even sure I could shoot a left handed rifle (much less afford one).

The AICS works well for you backwards folks. Two of my lefty buds were playing with it yesterday. If you plan on going to a mag system it is about the same money as a decent stock, bottom metal and a magazine. And the Badger Ordinance bolt handle isn't hard to do yourself. A little time with grinder, some cool water to keep things from heating up and a die is all you need.

Looked like a good price on it. I was tempted to pick it up but I'm gonna hold out for one with shorter barrel. Nice work on the stock too.
