This morning on WTOP the only thing mentioned about the hearings was that a bill was proposed to merge the databases to give the MSP an ability they dont currently have...WTF?!!! The state has been fraudulently making me pay for casings and collecting them to just pitch them into a corner, for YEARS!, and THAT'S what they come up with?

F the media, F them all. Thanks for ALL who went and spoke so well on behalf of our rights. Mopar gave no quarter and I almost cringed every time he came up as I didn't not know what level he was going to take it to this time.... gripping it was... simply gripping. I wish the feed would should all the empty chairs and the names of the absent schmucks so I can hate them too. I am grateful for all of you. Go Team.

Sorry I could not get there yesterday. Thanks Rack and Roll for keeping everyone up on the hearing. Thanks for your time and effort to everyone who testified and wrote testimony. If any one has the streaming saved, we should burn DVDs and offer them in exchange for contributions to MDS, MSI, etc. at gun shows and shops.

Got a question for those who were there. It looks like HB60, the repeal of the FSA 2013 was to to be heard in front of the judiciary committee and the health and government operations(?) committee, were the members of the HGO committee present or did they have a seperate hearing? They did it joint last year.

Finally got a chance to read up on the remainder of the events...

Whomever that last woman was, yeah... had to be a plant, to leave the Members to remember the last thing said fro the night.

    Question...

Was it Vallario or Dumais in the Chair when it was gaveled out? Not sure it matters a WHOLE lot, but if Dumais, then IMO it proves the shenanigans.

Great job everyone!! Remember, some follow-up emails are in order (especially about the sudden cut-off of testimony).

Now, back to my nucking futs morning

    :(

HGO was not there, only the Judiciary Committee. I was wondering the same thing, but when it came to its turn, Smiegel talked about it (along with three other bills including Dwyer's, Beitzel's, and Glass' bills) — to which all were welcomed witness testimony. Though the bill is a bit of a long shot, it looks as if it's being stonewalled the same way the opposition was to FSA13 last year with the dual committee assignments. However, that may be a bit telling in and of itself... food for thought...

Thank you to all of you who could attend and testify. You lot did a fantastic job. From what I could watch and keeping caught up thanks to Rack&Roll when I couldn't I was seriously impressed, y'all hit these bills from several different angles and hopefully some opened the eyes of some of the dems.

Even if this all fell on deaf ears in committee you all probably have motivated more of us. Through your conviction we are stronger today than yesterday.

We may need to request/demand a hearing in front of HGO. Not having a proper hearing would be a reason to not have a floor vote. I would be good to have floor votes again going into the elections.

It was fun peing a part of jaqueline's hammer-fisting of vallario, reminding him that it's OUR room and not his when he attempted to cut off questions to her and she didn't let him. She basically punked him, causing him to give in and allow questions to be asked and answered. I think mccomas also got good and pissed off at vallario and became just a little more sympathetic to our cause there. Good stuff.

There ought to be a public hearing on it, but it does not show upon the HGO schedule (which ends at 3/12) — I'll write my delegate who is on the committee (Justin Ready) and see if he has any insight on a coming hearing agenda. My guess is that if the bill gains steam from both sides, then a future hearing will be a joint one. Again, I believe the dual assignment is a provision, same tactic as last year. If so, then it would be Busch who'd be behind the decision. Perhaps we should be asking him.
