I ended up selling all my Mannlicher stocked rifles recently...several CZ, a Ruger 10-22 and a Winchester Model 70...trying to cut back. And then I run across this! A Steyr Zephyr II .22LR...just had to have it. The only possible improvement I can see is if it was given a highly blued finish rather than matte...but that adds a lot of cost. It's so pretty I'm thinking of not scoping it even though I have a couple of quality rimfire scopes that would go well with it. I was thinking of getting the .22 Magnum version of it but there's no real advantage when it's just a paper punching rifle for me.
Well i went out to Winchester Saturday and picked up a few rifles on the way home i stopped at a shop and they had two of these so me and my buddy bought them. i have never seen this rifle before and the price was less than i paid for my Kimber 82 which is very similar.
I present for your viewing pleasure ... the Vostok CM2 Made in the USSR, but at some point passed through Britain as it has proof marks on it ..
That's a gorgeous rifle
I have a Kimber 82 still in the box i need to take out alsoOldcar, i"m digging that. Give us a range report when you get it out.

God Almighty.
In Soviet Russia, rifle shoots you.
He learned that dance from me but he def does it better
LOL But seriously, you have a talent for finding amazingly cool stuff. That Vostok is such a rare bird it's something I've only seen in pics, never up close and personal.
I love that laminated stock.
