I’d expect that to make the fixed stock models near worthless
Hard to say, depends on what weird new proprietary Turkish parts we end up with. It is possible they will get away from the high degree of parts compatibility with the real M4. Also, I don’t really want a collapsible stock unless it is more adjustable than the Benelli version. The limbsaver version of the mesa tactical Urbino stock is super comfy, so if the new S4s lose compatibility with that, I’d be out.

I don't think fixed stock Benelli M4s are worthless because there's collapsibles on the market.

I also think some of you might be surprised at how expensive the newer models are.

Also, there is a high probability these will not be "real" collapsible models due to import restrictions.

The urbino stock is a lot more comfortable than the actual Benelli c-stock.

And the urbino stock doesn’t wobble. The cheek riser is also better if you’re using an optic.

    My guess is $800-$1100 MSRP.

I tried mine last week and it felt like something was cutting my face each shot. Need to take a file to it, but it was surprising. I think it was from the cheek riser.

Maybe they can bring them in like the current imports and install the parts here.

    These come in?

Tl;Dr a guy on ARF traded me a VEPR for mine plus a little coin. It was lopsided in my favor but he absolutely needed the S4 so.

Couldn't let it go so maybe I aquire another one here

They are all gone from wholesalers and online dealers- an order was attempted, but never realized. We (Masada) have had them in the past ($499???) but I never paid attention prior to reading this thread.
Upthread, someone posted about Garand_Thumb chatting them up. The timing would coincide with the almost immediate disappearance from the marketplace.
On a side note, I don't think anyone knows why all the cheap surplus 7.62x25 disappeared on Easter weekend c.2009. Everyone and their brother had it on Good Friday and it was all gone on Easter Sunday. I picked up a CZ52 just days before this all went down, so I saw it happen in real time.

I saw the Garand Thumb thing and agree. They were unknown then suddenly everyone wanted one.

SAX2 is made by a different assembler than the S4, IIRC. Not saying it won't work, but it's a different animal in terms of QC.

I shot probably 50-60 rounds through this today and smashed up some clays. What a blast with semi auto. Not one failure with Federal or Winchester target ammo. The federal I bought in 2009.

I was thinking I didn’t like the ghost ring sights last time I shot it but I’m getting used to them and they worked great for clays. The only issues with the gun so far are the front hand guard being slightly loose which is probably fixable with disassembly and a little bit of wear at the bottom black finish from loading in shells.

My 7 year old son even shot it several times and thought the recoil wasn’t too bad. All I did was help him hold the front hand guard as it’s a little long for him.

This shotgun is worth every bit of the price I paid. I would say at this point it’s even worth it at $600.

Finally got mine out this past Saturday - only shot 20 rounds through it, all slugs (Berwyn rules) - no failures. The Mesa stock did come loose - I need to get a lock washer like others have recommended. Otherwise no issues at all.
