As much as you can secure I would say, but at least one to take it off the would be looters. If the bottom does fall out .

    Interesting video.

If meals get scarce, hunters are gonna take more than just deer. Small ammo for small game. I think "Elite" hunters probably practice as well as zero when not actively hunting. Otherwise, how do you get elite? Maybe I'm wrong.

Gunfighting is not a high survivability occupation. That said, if you gotta do it, you are better off practicing very regularly with lots and lots of repetition to increase your odds. And comparing the "Old West" gunfighters, and their single action sidearms, to todays higher firepower weapons might not be fair.

Sniping is a very specialized skillset that is only likely to come into practice if we go full Mad Max. That said, I've heard it said that those in this occupation, or who like to prepare for this scenario, fire between hundreds and thousands of rounds a week. I don't really know. But I am certain that the "elite" sniper he talked about didn't only shoot in live combat.
I'm reading this as deer and game are going to get scare. Lots of gunfighting and long pork is on the menu. If sniping, and hungry, then its hunting. :lol2:

He did say scarce. But he also said ten rounds a year for a prolific hunter. Maybe for deer. Eating rabbit, squirrel, smaller things...probably more than ten rounds.

You barter the gun not the ammo.
That comes later, like how a dope dealer or other unscrupulous professionals operate.
    One pill/fix at a time.
Rapid disarmament of a society doesn't create a tax rich environment for the conquering authority.
Or help to foster a domain for that matter where those who would be antagonist, would willingly accept the plow.

Yeah, he's an idiot. A lot of fallacies to his logic on many points. Extrapolating reported state hunting results to SHTF hunting for example.

Yeah, if a real SHTF scenario, is anyone following DNR season regulations and bag limits? I’m shooting 40 or 50 deer that first year. Not 6.

Man, use more than that just controlling ground hogs. And in a pinch, that's 5-6lbs of perfectly edible cat food you can eat.

I'm glad that I started reloading for pistol, rifle and shotgun 20 years ago. My latest project is 12ga. I'm working on 12ga 00 buckshot and slugs. I would like to thank the member that gave me a 5 gallon bucket 2/3 full of used wheel weights. Been molding up 00 buck for the last week. Needless to say that I'm very well stocked up on every caliber and gauge that I own.
