I'd be more afraid offense smiling man with a knife than of the frowning man with a knife.
I'd think the frowning man with a knife was just trying to scare me by looking intimidating. I'd think that someone who is trying to scare me is hoping I'd go away without confrontation, which tells me...
This is my continuation of this thread http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?p=3059800#post3059800 which was closed for some reason, despite no reason being given or even apparent.
Since I can't use the quote button anymore, the attributions are going to be lost. Anyway, one member said...
Since the goal, as I thought I'd already made pretty clear, is to have a rifle marked "M4", and as the mark is on the lower, not the upper, then buying a 6721 for this reason would be pretty dumb.
I agree with you. And please notice that I never called an exempted purchase a loophole. That came from the two replies above yours, and I don't know where they got it, either. When I mentioned loopholes, it was in reference to something not exempted, the 6920, when I asked if perhaps the 6920...
I use words like "loophole" for the same reason I use terms like "shell shock" instead of "post traumatic stress disorder", "fat" instead of "overweight", and "stupid" instead of "mentally challenged". I call things what they are.
As for the 6721, I understand it may be a perfectly acceptable...
For banned guns, are they banned by name, model number, or what?
Is the LE6920 considered to be an AR15 or an M4? Is the M4 specifically included in the ban, or does the ban explicitly state that the M4 is a variant or specific type of AR15? Just looking for loopholes...
One final question...
I'm interested in buying a Colt 6920 but am unsure of the legality currently in MD. Could anyone please advise?
This is what I'm looking at: http://www.gunsamerica.com/929238461/Colt_Law_Enforcement_M4_A1_SOCOM_Carbine_5_56_NATO_223_Rem_New_LE6920_LAYAWAY_OPTION_LE6920SOCOM.htm

Actually I completely forgot about H&K, strange because as far as brands as a whole go, they're my second favorite, behind Beretta. The Mk23 is actually my true first choice...but at four times the price of the used .45 Storm I'm looking at, I won't be getting one any time soon. Of course, one...
If I buy from my friend, what will I have to pay, other than the actual price of the gun that I give to him? Is it just the FFL transfer fee, or anything else? What about a fired cartridge?
Thanks for understanding the question. While I appreciate people trying to be helpful by suggesting their own personal favorites, the Storm happens to be a personal favorite of mine. I've owned one in the past, .40, and only shot one box of ammo through it, but I loved it. I also have...
On the one hand... A coworker is willing to sell me his used Beretta PX4 Storm in .45 ACP. He estimates he's shot it about 200 times. I haven't seen it, but he says it looks pretty much just like new. He wants $500 for it.
On the other hand... I could get a new Storm in .40 S&W for $550 from...
Thanks, I'll look into Ballistol.
I did actually ask Eickhorn this same question directly at the same time I posted here, and this is their reply: "For that you can use normal weapons oil.We have a dealer in the USA 'youwantit'".
