      Why are AR's so popular?

I think another factor to their popularity is the demonization by the media and repeated attempts by politicians to ban them. Owning one is a symbolic protest.

Moving to Virginia from Maryland - AR-15?

Good point. I will be moving to Great Falls area, found a lil' apartment there I like surrounded by the mansions lol. Very country feel there. Office is in mclean and I can get there without taking major roads, no route 7, no 66, no 495. Easy commute.

Moving to Virginia from Maryland - AR-15?

Hi all, I tried searching the forum for this but couldn't find a topic. I am moving to northern Virginia and own a AR-15 I purchased in Maryland. Do I need to do anything with the AR once I move? And, can anyone summarize Virginia gun laws? Or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

sorry for bringing this thread back..it seemed to be the only one with information about PBJ for DUI/DWI and firearms rights, figured I'd add more information to it. The lesson is no two Maryland officials seem to agree on it, but it does seem that firearm limitations only apply to...

Supervised PBJ and firearms - anyone else been through this?

Update to this: My friend recently got a first time DUI (0.11) and went to court, got it reduced to DWI and then got a PBJ for that charge. The PBJ was supervised until he went to a MADD Victim impact panel, and then it changed to unsupervised. He owned a MD Regulated Firearm and informed...
