looks like the gun runner's FB page stopped posting this spring and now they are referred to as "bay country guns" with a new FB page. Was this just a name change for the existing store or did the ownership change?
Just trying to be overly cautious for old guns is all. the blackhawk is the newest and the serial number dates it back to 1986. I was born in 84 so that is old to me. I guess I'm just worried about that these guns have been through before they got to me. I'm a collector who didn't grow up...
Can anyone recommend a gunsmith near Annapolis or south? Looking for some basic work; just inspection, test firing, cleaning, and lube of some used firearms I've gotten from gunbroker over the past year. this includes an iver johnson champion 12 gauge, ruger bisley super blackhawk, and us...
I had an excellent experience with my firearm transfer. Great response time for inquiries, even by email. I do most of my communications by email because I can't use my cell at work and I try to avoid making personal calls from my office phone and that wasn't an issue at south county...
this is what I meant as far as controlled round feed is concerned. As to they "why" of controlled round feed I love the craftsmanship, complexity and safety of a controlled round feed bolt.
I'm looking to get a sporting/hunting/practical rifle in 30-06 or 308 that is C&R eligible and has a controlled round feed action under $500 (more ideally under $400) with aperture iron sights. Where would you recommend I start?
Right now I'm thinking I should be going for a 1903 that has...
So I ended up getting a little mix, all from classic firearms as they had low prices when combined with shipping (from what I found at least). I got 1 20 round box of Sellier & Bellot 180 GR SPCE, 1 20 round box of PPU 150 GR FMJ, 1 20 round box of PPU 150 GR SP, and 2 20 round boxes of PPU 165...
$515. I thought that was a pretty good price. Overall the rifle is in excellent shape from what I can tell. I am more of a collector than a shooter so it suits my needs well.

All,
I just purchased my first C&R, a U.S. model 1917 rifle. The rifle was advertised as having a poor barrel with fouling and possibly some pitting. how would you recommend I clean and protect the barrel of my 1917. are there any cleaning tools or techniques you can recommend?
Thanks...
my first instinct was to hit up a similar search engine like ammoseek but while this does help me find the cheapest stuff, I doubt the cheapest is also reliable or recommended (I think LAX reloads came to the top of the list). I'm hoping someone is aware of a little corner of the internet that...
