Thanks for all the good info folks.
I applied for W&C in April 2022, final disposition in July 2022 = Disapproved. Wah wah.
The classes are good for two years, to re-apply with MSP costs $50. Fingerprints I did not research personally, but from earlier posts I understand I have to get them...
They also want three references. I gave them them three professional and business references, but they rejected those and said they wanted 'people that I pal around with' !! wtf. I don't pal around with anybody, lol. I think I failed everything they asked me in the phone interview. They even...
Thanks for the explanations. The rules and laws are often obscure, so it is great to be able to get clarification. I've been thru the HQL and W&C classes and still things are not clear. Common sense would seem to indicate that if you buy a gun, you will carry it. Otherwise, what are you buying...
Thanks Blaster229 and GTOGunner!
So if we don't need a reason, why are they 'deluged'? W&C would be part of the HQL, yes? MSP would have no reason to have W&C permits, they would be redundant.
I thought they got rid of the Reason to Carry rules last year? I was just on the MSP site reviewing their Wear and Carry permit requirements and they still have the reasonable reason rules.
I have a similar situation but I bought three large heavy duty Cable Locks from Lowes or Home Depot and tangled them all together. Sure, the determined individual can get thru them, but it would be a bit of a hassle.
I have fun using this stuff to sling slugs down range at the steel targets. Pre-Covid I was paying $350 per 250rd case, so at $299 these seem like a great Post-Covid deal...
I didn't have a 9mm prior to Covid, so I don't remember what ammo costs were then. Been waiting for ammo cost to decline. Now I see 'CCI Blazer 9mm 115gr FMJ - $315 per 1000rd Case'. Is that similar to pre-covid pricing, or do I keep waiting? Thanks!
Oh nice! I guess that is for hunting? I ask because I like to shoot clays but mine is an 18" barrel and I'm trying to decide which longer barrel to get to improve hit rate, 24, 26 or 28 inch. I guess 28 is the way to go, but if you can hit clays with a 24 I might go with that. Thanks!
With the MOA kit also, I added a two shell extension tube. That was the longest that would not go longer than the short barrel I have, but seven shells is ok with me. I also put in the Aluminum Follower to replace the Plastic one [that's the little piece between the spring and the shells]. And...
So I bought this MOA Precision Kit:
https://moaprecisionllc.com/product/competition-kit-parts-only-stoeger-m3000-m3k/#configuration
And it says 'Parts Only' and I couldn't think of what they meant, but now I see there are no instructions! I found some instructions on YouTube, but nothing fo the...
Ok, back from Cindy's to get my IWI Masada which I bought on-line from Palmetto State Armory. PSA took out the 17rd mags, and like Bud's they did not provide 10rd mags nor did they discount the price. Boo!
So that's it for me buying like this, from now on I'll only buy 10rd mag guns. I'm not...
