      Legally switching calibers?

Got a response from Captain Hall who is now over at 2nd District “ I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have been transferred from the Firearms Branch and my replacement and new POC is Lieutenant Michael O’Harran. To answer your question, you can have a firearm with multiple...

      Legally switching calibers?

Well hopefully LT Hall clears this up or forwards it to someone knowledgeable there to handle. If not, I’ll just keep the conversion kit in VA until I get out of this screwed up city.

See what he says. If not, I’ll just keep the 22 exchange and ammo in VA.

      Legally switching calibers?

      Legally switching calibers?

Ok that seems different than what they were telling me there but it is MPD

      Legally switching calibers?

Thanks! What about ammo since I don’t own a 22? Technically you need to have a firearm registered in that caliber to own the ammo in DC correct?

      Legally switching calibers?

      The MPD people at registration.

      Legally switching calibers?

I made the same argument on the frame being the part that is registered. However I was told that the gun can only be registered in one caliber. So since I won’t have a registered 22, if I am ever caught with 22 ammo I would be breaking the law. Earlier in the year it was more like 2 weeks...
