Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

My go to load is an old style Winchester AA Hull (new or current hull works too but the crimp needs adjusting as they arent the same length)(if I use an STS pressure goes up a little but not enough to care) so or an STS hull no crimp adjustment. 7/8 oz shot (9 for skeet and 7 1/2 for trap or...

Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

Yes, this is a major benefit of reloading. Good luck trying to buy 1150 fps 7/8 oz 12 gauge shells. That's all I shoot at Clays my old damascus guns thank me. No recoil is an extra. 6500 psi is easy on the gun and is basically a light 20 gauge load. In a heavy 12 or even a 10 with chamber...

      10ga shotgun

I have a Remington SP-10 semi-auto I would sell for $1000 with a few boxes of ammo and the original sling. I have a bunch of 10's mostly doubles, anyone who thinks a 3 1/2 inch 12 will do the same thing as a 10 Magnum doesn't know what they are talking about. Its the old square load thing which...

who to move a safe in Montgomery County?

So I have a deal on a used big gun safe about 1000 - 1500lbs as a guess about 40" x 27" x 72" tall. Who should I call to get it moved from Silver Spring to Rockville? No stairs but big and heavy

What's The Advantage of 32" Barrels for a Sporting O/U?

more weight out front for a smoother swing and better follow through - longer rib to look down (for trap). All that said the balance of the gun has more to do with who made it and how, than the barrel length. Real life it shouldn't matter, I prefer longer barrels but 30" is long

Another one from the pawn shop haul:

That is very cool. I have a bunch of Pieper and Bayard shotguns that would also fit with.

What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Loaded some old school 10 Gauge (not magnum) Bismuth loads for the old doubles that want to play with me. Take a 3 1/2" Federal Hull and trim it on the drill press to 2 7/8", deprime and reprime. Measure exact weighed loads of powder on an old Lyman 55 Measure, seat a wad, weigh each shot charge...

      Hearing protection while hunting

Agreed, but the request was for hunting. They are what I use for hunting. I am a duck and goose hunter, they are fine in a blind, pit or boat.

      Hearing protection while hunting

I use these as well and have for ages, also use them for skeet and trap. They are comfortable and you can have a conversation. there is a baffle that shuts down when there is a sharp report. Have a bunch of pairs in my blind bag for ducks and in my range bags too. I dont think they are adequate...
