I've never been to Oaks, and after today, I won't be back. Ammo, expensive. Mags, expensive. Had fun looking at the M1's and AK's, and got to check out an SKS. That was about the only thing that excited me. At least lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger didn't disappoint.
Yeah, SS is full of s#!+. Today is day 166 for me on an eform 4/trust, through Silencer Shop. Plenty of guys over 170 days on the NFA subReddit. The ATF currently has the eform 4 average at 150-160.
The average on the NFA subreddit is ~111 days. 90 days is the eventual goal, not a promise. I'm at 93 days, and was told to figure 120 just to be safe. Still better than everybody still waiting on paper Form 4's.
That's why I went with DA's Xeno system. Lighter, shorter, and half of the price of their KeyMo. DA only has 2 muzzle devices for the Xeno so far (A2-style FH, and a brake that resembles Q's Cherry Bomb), but FCD is working on a Xeno version of their 6315, DA has more devices coming, and rumor...
I've been using Cherry Balmz for about a year on our AR's, and have nothing bad to say about it. When it's all gone (I got a crap-ton of it from a sale they wwre running), I'll probably switch over to Clandestine's SOTARacha, but the Cherry Balmz is GTG in my opinion.
It looks like the German buckle is a military buckle from the Weimar Republic. WWI buckles had a crown in the middle, WWII had the Nazi eagle and swastika.
My son and I went earlier this afternoon. I talked to Overwatcher at the TGH booth and set up to get my new AR build cerakoted, and met Biggfoot44 at the MSI table and got a membership. I went with 2 goals, and checked off both. My son got some fishing lures, so he got we he wanted as well.
