Sorry for the ignorance. That is the case for long guns? When I was a resident of TN, I bought a long gun in GA without a transfer. Maybe that is an agreement between states? I know about handguns, just unclear on long guns. Thanks for the help.
Who is the onus on in this new requirement? Seller or buyer? Since this is not Federal law, can't the transfer just happen in another state? Just curious on this vs. the more universal handgun law/transfers.
Happy to answer any questions. Definitely a lot more on personal responsibility and rights there, a lot less on high paying tech jobs (more around Nashville, of course, but that is what brought me here, for now).
No doubt about gun unfriendly! Still amazed at the 7 day waiting period (that has now turned into 9 days and counting...) as well as the other craziness. Once walked into Academy and bought a gun on my lunch break in TN!
And the perks were certainly much better before the government shutdowns...
Joined a couple weeks ago. Moved here from TN about a year and a half ago (not a TN fan; Clemson grad :-)). Glad to find a good community online and have gotten a lot of good info already.
