Aaah, 7 days....that sounds much better.
You're doing a fantastic job on this matter.
Yes, also lots of Mosin Nagants were captured and used for their own Army by the Germans.

@Mawkie
You're welcome.
I don't buy that many rifles so when I do I like to share them at a couple of forums.
Most M91's that I see over here have Finnish SA markings so I was extremely happy to find this one.
@Threeband
75 days plus.....wow and I thought Dutch gun laws were strict.

No, it's not difficult at all.
The necessary paperwork takes up to 4 weeks, but after that I can go pick it up and bring it in to the country.
Germany is one of the European countries that engrave their rifles when they enter the country.
I think it's a German thing.
They have done this...
Bought myself a 1927 Tula Dragoon a couple of weeks ago in Germany.
It didn't look very well when I found it, but after a bit of cleaning it looked very good.

I like that about a rifle.
It is my first M91 model...
You better hurry because they are about to change the law.

Mmmm........very good question K31.
You might think we would call it a "Royal something with cheese".
It's not like that at all.
To keep all the American tourists from getting confused we kept this one out of the metric system so.....you can buy yourself an original Quarter Pounder over here...
Thanks for your reply Sundancer.

These are 180gn cal .312 copper plated H&N bullets.
He had no use for them anymore so he gave me a box of 500.

Thanks for your reply shooting the breeze.
Good to hear that you too have good memories about the Netherlands.
Although I envy you every now and then for your gun law, I'm proud to live here and call myself Dutch.
Aaaah kids........I know what you mean. :D
Thanks RealGlocky.
I appreciate...
Thanks for your reply TexasBob.
Buying military surplus ammo is no problem at all.
Of course we have some rules and regulations for storage.
We are not allowed to have more then 10.000 rounds of ammo.
We can only own the so called "ball ammo".
Ammunition like AP/API/and tracer ammo is not...
Thank you Streetgang.
I'm glad to hear you loved your time over here.
Don't know much about Den Helder, but I do visit Harskamp every now and then.
I love that range.
The food could be an item of discussion but I do agree about the beer......I love it. :D

Martin
I copied this from another post I made in the "Maryland 2A issues" forum.
Compared to US gun law, Dutch gun law extremely strict.
The only organisations that are allowed to bear arms are the police and the military.
Dutch civilians are not allowed to buy guns for self protection.
