      Federal bulk 550 round boxes feed fine in mine. I might have one fft out of every 3 or 4 mags. I have the light recoil spring in the slide and keep it clean.

      Smelting lead

      Sort out the zink, it only takes one to ruin a batch. Sort out all the stick on weights, they are softer metal than the others. Zink weights melt at a higher temp than the lead. I use a turkey fryer to melt the weights. Do it outside, and stand up wind. Smelting is nasty business. Get some...

      I would sort the brass by headstamp. Different brands have different loading characteristics.

      223 Brass

      Buy extra decapping stems. I went through way to many Dillon and Lee stems from the off center flash holes on the GFL 223 brass. All GFL Brass goes into the trash now. It is just not worth reloading on a progressive press.
