Recently I got fed up purchasing targets that allowed me to see where I was hitting. I also got fed up with just printed targets as its really hard to see the tiny little holes (I guess i need to make bigger ones... ;) )... This leads me to my quest to create a DIY target that mimics the...
This past weekend I took my new lil marlin 795 out to the range. It was a lot of fun driving some 22s into the bullseye from 20 yrds... My wife had a blast as well... Will need to mount a scope to it and try out a lil farther :-)
All was great except for getting rained on by some hot .380...
i also grew up shooting 'on the farm' (even tho it was just our back yard). We had steel railroad plates setup at 35, 75 100, 150, 200 yards and a compressed cardboard target at 15 yards. You pick your target and wait for the amazing 'clink!' when you hit something. Nothing like shooting at the...

Well...after a few hours of fussing...i managed to put it back together...
Had to apply A little more muscle than I thought I should have but that was about it...i guess the frustration finally got to me and instead of the normal result when that normally...
There is a whole other assembly (with the other spring) that goes in after the one in the pictures. I believe that should be ok... Really just hoping that I do not have to take the stock completely apart and that I'm just missing something small...

edit: attachments added...
1 picture of the bolt in without me pulling it back, 2 of how far I can actually pull it back...
My father had this old winchester 290. It is in great condition but by his account has never been cleaned :innocent0
we took the action apart and cleaned it all like crazy. We had one hell of a time putting the spring back in w/ the bolt but managed ok... expect the bolt will not go all the...
i went yesterday for my first time right around 1700. It was a nice place and only 3 tables were being used. Great time.
i have a strange feeling that I'm going to be making a habit of going to the grove quite often... even tho its 45 mins one way :/
Yesterday I went to Myrtle grove to test out and sight in my new 357 mag. It was a good time and my new baby shoots like a dream. The range is quite nice actually (was expecting something else entirely for it being a public range) except for the startling shower of AR shells coming from a pair...
Howdy all,
Its been quite some time but I thought I'd return to at least give a photo of my new addition. I waited quite a while since my last posting here to actually get my handgun but the wait wasn't for nothing. In the mean time, i did switch out the bird shot to buck (buckshot is hard...
I want to thank everyone for their input. I've contacted 3 dealers so far(Called Freds Sports and Gun Connection and went to the Tackle Box). I plan on going to purchase one this upcoming weekend (if all plans out well...)
