      Paul: Thanks for the offer. I did things the "easy" way. Bought the upper and then parts. All I have left is to mill my 80% lower. First AR turned out great. This one is a 300BLK. What you are doing is nobel. Don't listen to the crickets who wish they were heard.

      Be careful with laser engraving. They "etching" has to be .003". A 100 watt laser won't get deep enough. I know. I have one. A CNC rotary engraver is what I used.

      Semi Auto for Hunting?

      To the OP. You mentioned semi auto... I have a Browning Safari Mark II with Boss that will work at 400 yards with any 180 grain bullet. With proper sling you should have no issues in the woods. Other than that, 6.5 Grendel gets another vote.

      We have a near 5 yr. old grandson and In-laws requiring TLC that are here. That and good pay. We still have a residence in the Tampa Bay area which is where we will go back to in 5-10 years. It is never hot there. Lots to do. Plenty of sun, fishing, food and female tourists in bikinis....
