      I've tried going the less expensive route on a couple of red dots, and have been disappointed every time. I would rather wait and save up to get something I'll be happy with and know is well built. The trijicon rm06/07 or the holosun 507c are good choices, and ones you won't have to/want to...

      I've been out of the radio business for some time, and wasn't sure how far P25 equipment had progressed. Stand alone P25 Phase 2 repeaters would be nice to see in use.

      What digital voice modes do you have/operate on, and what reflectors/talkgroups do you use most often? I have a D74, so DStar via rf. But I also have a hotspot and can cross-mode to dmr & fusion. I've done a look of lurking on various reflectors and talk groups, but they are all pretty quiet.

      I haven't fired the 43X or the 48. Is there a noticeable difference in handling between the two, like the 26 & 19, or is it a just because decision?

      really? I knew that the FCC now allows GPS and short text messaging, but not sure that you can use digital audio modes like DMR/DSTAR/NXDN/P25 on the GMRS frequencies now.
