I feel the same way. Always loved rifles (mainly the AR platform) and a few .22’s I have. But at my cousins bachelor party last year we went trap shooting and I was hooked. Got home and purchased my first shotgun. Can’t get enough of it.
As mentioned above numerous times, go bigger than you need. And don’t be afraid to check out the classifieds on facebook/craigslist. I found my practically new Liberty 32 on craigslist for a fraction of what they go for new.
For transport storage I like the hard cases from harbor freight...
I bought a similar size & weight Liberty safe a few years back. It was heavy as hell and quite a pain to move from the sellers house to mine. That being said, myself, two willing friends and an appliance hand truck got it done.
I am reading on some sources (google) that a green reticle is easier with an astigmatism than red. Anyone have any first had experience with this. The holosun 510c is offered in both red & green
I plan to get some irons to Co-Witness with whatever optic I go with. I’m not a big fan of lasers, to each their own. I’ll look in to sight mark. Not a brand I’ve considered yet.
I’m not sure where you’re located or how far you’re willing to go but there’s a place near me, Schrader’s Outdoors, that offers guided hunts for everything from small game, waterfowl and deer. I’ve never done any hunts with them but seems like a good option for beginners.
I have read this few places which is why it is one of my contenders. I don’t compete and really just built this as more of a want, than a need. Plinking/home defense is about it. I just don’t want to have any thing too bulky on top due to its much smaller rail size
I do have an astigmatism and am slightly near sighted & wear contacts. I guess certain red dots are better than others for those of us with astigmatisms?
I’m close to completing my 9mm AR pistol build. I plan on running MBUS BUIS with a red dot. I’m all over the place trying to decide what optic to go with. I’d like to stay under $300
Right now I’m looking at micros like the holosun 407co. Tube dots like the Sig Romeo4/5 or going with...
I don’t know if any adapters but are you able to swap out the look pedals for SPD? I know some cheaper SPD style pedals can be found in the $25 range. Not the answer your looking for but still cheaper than a new pair of shoes
If you like over under (I do) and you’re willing to spend a bit more go with Browning Citori or beretta Silver Pigeon. If you’d prefer to stay in that price range check out the Franchi Instinct (I love mine.)
