      My first 1000 yard rifle.

Great Vid! I'll have to watch this a few times. I bought a Bergara in 6.5CM with dreams of long range shooting but so far only worked out to 300 yards. Now I'm just holding tightly the few rounds of 6.5CM I have left. Has anyone taken long range classes at Peacemaker, worth it?

      75-80 Dragway

Still looking rough I drove by the track this morning and it still looks pretty rough and overgrown. I hope it takes off as I'd like to get out and watch a few races. I do like Wilcom's Inn, so maybe a good dinner and race date night!

9mm Blazer in stock for $.32/rd

Missed it! I did pick up some Herter's in store a couple weeks ago but have to try it out. The CCI Blazer has worked well for me in the past, nothing fancy but good to play with at the range.

CCI has standard velocity ($3.99/50) and quiet ($4.99/50) .22lr available 10 box max

I just happened to stop in after lunch and saw it on an endcap shelf in the shooting section. When I asked the clerk at the gun counter if there were any other calibers he said no and was very surprised and asked where I found the 9mm.

Missed out again on picking up some .22 BUT I did pick up two 100rd packs of Herter's 9mm at Bass Pro on Sunday for $30 a box. There were also a few boxes left of 224 Valkyrie which does me no good unless I buy it to trade for something exotic like .308!

Never shopping at Dick’s Sporting Goods again

Maryland does have a law prohibiting discrimination in public accommodation (which include retail sales) based on age for anyone 18 and older. Many states and localities have similar laws but they do vary as to the triggering (no pun intended) age.

Walmart raises minimum age to purchase guns, ammunition to 21

Age Discrimination So, I also posted this in the thread on Dick's. I am well past 21 but I do interact with younger shooters from time to time so I care about this issue. My own kids will one day be 18 and I care about their future. I am not a civil or human rights attorney but I do know...

I hope Dicks Sporting goods goes bankrupt!

I have been a longtime Dick's customer. I bought new golf clubs last year, new punching bag and rack, shoes, sporting equipment for my kids, the occasional hunting or archery item BUT no more. I am well past 21 BUT this does clearly appear to me to be age discrimination. Pursuant to State...

Good and Substantial- Not Just for Carry Anymore

Yeah, I know I may not post much, very rarely admittedly, but I do write letters to legislators and do what a little here and there. I also know G&S was sustained with respect to carry permits BUT does anyone expect a G&S type demand related to the First Amendment to be supported by...

Good and Substantial- Not Just for Carry Anymore

So, I will throw this out as an interesting aside. I have often argued against G&S by saying there is no way G&S would be sustained if applied to freedom of speech or religion, well it looks like I was wrong. A local Montgomery County female basketball player, happens to be Muslim, was...

Moving from VA to MD, stock up first?

Moving to MoCo Goldie, I made the move to Maryland from Virginia a little over 10 years ago and settled in upper Montgomery County, not too far from Rockville. I miss Virginia for any number of reasons but upper MoCo is not bad from a place to live perspective. Plenty of farmland and open...
