      Piers Morgan is unemployed

I didn't see a topic on this, and I wanted to share the great news! Piers Morgan is getting kicked off the air finally. I cannot help but have a large smile on my face right now. :) Here is the article: http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/23/news/piers-morgan-cnn/

Maryland gun laws would not have stopped Navy Yard shooter

I feel that the Sun article deserves that "You don't say" meme. I bet they will use this as an excuse to add pump action shotguns to the banned list. :sad20:

The HQL - Your Plans Are?

"No, Not a Sixpence!" Don't have the money for anything, but if I did have money to buy a firearm, it will be long guns only. I get what you all are saying about not buying handguns being what the gun grabbers want, and it hurting LGS, but the LGS still sell long guns don't they? I don't own a...

Am I the only one who feels more ill the closer we get to 10/1?

Just so you know, Ohio has a 30 round limit. Any feeding device larger in capacity than 30 rounds is a felony offense there. It's weird and stupid, otherwise Ohio is a very pro 2nd amendment state. Good Luck to you. (wish I was going too)

      SB281 Guns FAQ

Definitely a fair point. Especially with the visits from the Maryland Stasi that were mentioned elsewhere on the forum, things written might not be enough. The way things are going, "spitballs" will be assault weapon copies and imitations soon.

      SB281 Guns FAQ

MSP Take Just to add some new information I received from the MSP Licensing Division, They said that a Garand, even with a magazine conversion is still exempt because, "it doesn't share completely interchangeable internal components necessary for the full operation and function of any one of...

      SB281 Guns FAQ

Thanks! So long as Frosh doesn't frosh himself into the AG position there might be a sliver of hope left. Though the LRB sporter or a converted Garand are out of my price range now (if I had the money, I'd just rush to get an M1A or put it in my get out of Bodymore fund) it might be necessary...

      SB281 Guns FAQ

M1 Garand w/ detachable mags=BM59 & LRB Sporter Sorry to add to the number of questions (blame Kim Jong Owe Maolley and the Obamunists) but is a BM59 just an M1 Garand with detachable mags or is it a distinct firearm? Would converting an M1 Garand to use detachable magazines and converting it...

      HBAR Spec

Talked to Cpl. Rasinski From my conversation with Cpl. Rasinski, I got the following information: 1. Maryland does not have a specific metric for determining an HBAR barrel 2. An HBAR does not need to have HBAR anywhere on the rifle (he gave me the example of LWRC having HBAR rifles, even...

Why do you need an AR15?

I need an AR-15 the same way that I need to vote, I need to be free from illegal search and seizure, and to be free from self incrimination. I need an AR-15 just as much as my grandfather needed an M1 Garand, my great grandfather needed his 1917 Enfield, my great great grandfather needed his...

Winning in Court? How much of SB281 can one expect to get thrown out?

Well Dang. Just when you get some hope, someone pours cold water on you. I guess I just hope we can some of the crap out of this law (if the federal courts gets off its posterior and does its job) and live with being worse than New Jersey. :(

Well you just gave me some orthopedic shoes because I stand corrected.

Winning in Court? How much of SB281 can one expect to get thrown out?

The 14th Amendment makes it a federal issue as that Amendment overturned Barron v. Baltimore (1833). Also, McDonald v. Chicago (2010) stated that the 2nd Amendment applies to the states, so Maryland, in theory, should feel the wrath of the federal court system for creating the F*#@ing Stupid Act...
