Whats the rarest firearm you own?

I think my Honorable East India Company Model A percussion musket in .75 is the lowest production gun I have, one of 5000 made from flintlock parts that had never been used. The flintlock breech has a percussion lump welded. The next 5000, Model B, had an all new breech screwed onto the...

      Flintlock noob question about 4F

There is a Swiss made powder called Schuetzen. It is more expensive than GOEX but since the GOEX plant has been down since last summer when the plant was damaged in an explosion, you might be able to find it. I use 3F in my flintlock for the primer charge and it works just fine.

Extra serial number added to a 1918 M1905 bayonet - who did it & why?

The original sheath is probably worth more than the bayonet!

Extra serial number added to a 1918 M1905 bayonet - who did it & why?

I have a full length (16") m1905 dated 1906 that I got from CMP when they had all of the Greek returned rifles and bayonets. Mine still has the wood handle on it. But has a latter sheath.

      WWI rifles

Someone was collecting unit IDs from Gew88s back when the Ecuadorian 88s hit the market around 2005. I will see if I can find it on the Way Back Machine. It was pretty interesting to see the number and variety of units who were equipped with them at some point.

MOCO,Can we pop off bb guns in the backyard?

Air horns work to startle dogs and make them leave. I keep a couple small air horns around all the time. And when taking my little dogs for a walk, I carry an air horn.

Hi, I joined MDS back in 2009 and have a post count of 75. I forgot all about doing an intro. I do post occasionally but mostly I check every day and read new posts. I got into shooting late, I grew up in a non-firearms home. i was always interested, so in 2003 at the age of 46 I bought...

      Help Identifying BP Double Barrel

Haven't pulled it out of the safe, but I think the barrels are about 28" long. I think that would be too short to be a punt gun. Mark
