      Question regarding M4A1 clone legality

Yeah it is verbatim the same barrel, not a copy.

      Question regarding M4A1 clone legality

Colt says it is in their listing for the M4A1. I have seen some other vendors produce “M4A1” barrels and claim they’re something else. It is the same profile under the handguards as other HBARs I’ve had-with the obvious exception of the cutouts for the M203.

      Question regarding M4A1 clone legality

This is a carbine that I put together from parts. The barrel I used is an actual Colt military M4A1 barrel.

      Question regarding M4A1 clone legality

Hi guys, Sorry if this has been done to death. I’m trying to determine if there’s a legal issue in MD with a colt M4A1 clone. It’s essentially a clone of this..... https://www.colt.com/detail-page/colt-ar-15-socom-carbine-223556-161-301-knights-rail-forend The actual Colt M4A1 is listed...

      Rust Removal

Try electrolysis. I've had really good luck with it. Haven't had any damage to the finish underneath either the times I've used it.

      FSA2013 Compliant Rifles

So as someone who currently lives in a free state(but has friends/relatives in MD, as I grew up on the Eastern Shore), I feel for you all. This mess you all are being subjected to is complete nonsense, and I hope someday this whole thing gets canned. In the mean time I think I am seeing a...

      FNG

As per your request..... The pictures don't really capture it very well though. At any rate, you should see what a gunshop looks like here. Everything here is cash and carry, except NFA items of course. NFA is even pretty easy, and I don't know of any sheriffs in Idaho who won't...

      MD Legal Barrels

Yeah.....basically. Marking it is too easy. I was just wondering if that's all it took, or if there were some other spec that was used to determine whether or not something was an HBAR.

      MD Legal Barrels

Right...that's basically as I understand it as well. But that also effectively means that someone could make an A1 profile barrel(.625" OD), stamp HBAR on it, and it would be considered as such. You could even make the argument, were it to come up, that compared to the first AR barrels(if...

      SB281 Guns FAQ

OK, so I only travel to MD every few years, as I live on the other side of the country. I build firearms as my hobby. I read all 33 pages of this thread: it seems to me that you can avoid these restrictions by sticking to obscure firearm designs(the ones not listed by name). Examples of...

      MD Legal Barrels

So random question here: If you turn your own barrels from blanks(and are hence the manufacturer) where does that leave you with regard to whether or not something is an HBAR?

Hi all, I've been more or less poking around this forum for a few years now. I'm originally from MD(grew up on the Eastern Shore), but left for the Army and decided to live in Free America after I got out. However, I do visit from time to time, since I have quite a bit of family still in...
