I bought a new Remington 870 Express that, even with lube and maintenance, started showing rust after just a few months. Then I read that this was normal for this gun. I cleaned it up as best I could, sold it, and bought a Mossberg 500 Persuader. And now a year later, it's like new with no rust.
When lead shot was still ok to use for goose hunting, I'd use Winchester 3" 1 7/8 oz waterfowl loads in my Browning Auto 5. The Auto 5 was great but I didn't realize how great until one day I switched guns with my son and used his Remington 870 with the same load. Holy Sh**! Two shots and I...
Have used Clays and couldn't wait to burn through the pound that I had. It doesn't meter very well and too many reports of pressure spikes. Universal Clays is better.
For standard/light loads in 9mm, 40S&W or 38 Special, I stick with WW231, HP38 (same as 231), Accurate #2, Ramshot Zip...
History has shown that revolution can be a healthy thing for a country. Maybe it's time.
Is the ammo and reloading components shortage really just a shortage due to people buying everything up or are there other things at work here? Are issues like the MSP wait times for restricted firearms...

Tomorrow will be day 40 for me. I think everyone on this forum has been more than patient. I personally have been very patient, but now my patience is wearing thin. This wait is ridiculous.
Paperwork filed on 1/24 at The Gun Shop.
I had a rough/gritty trigger on my M&P 40 that didn't go away. I bought and installed the Apex Trigger Kit. It made a world of difference.

I've owned 3 Ruger revolvers: Super Blackhawk, Redhawk and a Security Six. All were super tough, reliable revolvers. I still have the Security Six which was the predecessor of the GP100. With that said, I bought a S&W 686 Plus about 5 years ago after comparing it to the GP100 they had in...
