Silencers ARE legal in Maryland....you must purchase them through a Class III dealer, do paperwork called a "Form 4", and pay a $200 federal tax (and you get a "tax stamp")...... AND you can hunt with the device on you gun! Silencers are the accepted name but they are actually "suppressors"...- Mdgunguy

Silencers are legal in Maryland; hence, so are threaded barrels....unles you want to weld them to your gun????...that is, unless I missed something in all those dealer notifications I get from MDSP......- Mdgunguy
