.300 Savage needs a good cleaning

It depends. Taking it down to the point just prior to removing the rotary magazine is not hard. Removing the magazine is a job for a professional. I will caution you. Do not get any foaming bore cleaner in the action! The brass rotating magazine will turn into a locked up green mess. Voice of...

      Cooper 57 "Jackson Squirrel Rifle"

I have a 57M in the Classic configuration and it's superb. It shoots Lapua well but it also shoots the Winchester 40 gr subsonic so well it's not worth the extra $ for Lapua for what I do (metallic silhouette, squirrel and general plinking) and i just ordered another case. It did have to go...

I would love to see a good size group of folks go out to support it so hopefully we can have it added as a legal weapon for the whole season...

      anybody squirrel hunt?

Right now the only agreement is for .22 rf but having worked this problem I suspect that a successful season this year will open the door to other rimfires. They allowed on other refuges so no reason that Pax shouldn't allow them.

      anybody squirrel hunt?

All, Long time lurker here. I love squirrel hunting with a .22 and that is a legal weapon for them in all Md counties. One of the major places we have to hunt is the Patuxent Wildlife refuge however .22's have not been legal for squirrels there. Last year I worked with the MNHA...
