It depends. Taking it down to the point just prior to removing the rotary magazine is not hard. Removing the magazine is a job for a professional.

I've been shooting at the Atglen rimfire silhouette matches for a couple years and it's a lot of fun, low key competition. Great for young or new shooters (albeit not easy!)

As a little self-serving reminder. The Patuxent Wildlife refuge is having a pilot season starting Jan 1 through Jan 30 allowing .22 rimfires for squirrels. I would love to see a good size group of folks go out to support it so hopefully we can have it added as a legal weapon for the whole season...
Right now the only agreement is for .22 rf but having worked this problem I suspect that a successful season this year will open the door to other rimfires. They allowed on other refuges so no reason that Pax shouldn't allow them.
