Reputable Gunsmith in the Baltimore area

+1 for John at Duffy's. I am also in Howard County, and it is worth the drive.

      Squirrel Problem

Growing up on the Eastern Shore, we constantly had problems with the little suckers gnawing their way into our attic. We tried progressively more aggressive non-violent ways to discourage them to no avail. The final solution - Remington- fed lead poisoning. Of course, that was in a small town...

Damn AutoFill, damn fat fingers, damn being half lit while trying to type on a tablet... Thanks to all that responded.

      Best Value for a 1911

I have been seriously considering a RIA or Remington as the next purchase. Can anyone convince me one way or the other?

Not a good experience at Bass Pro

I have, at times, been completely ignored by the employees at BPS. I took my number, and waited over 30 minutes while one guy looked busy at a computer terminal and another stood there doing nothing but looking smug. I just left, and said nothing. I wish an employee would have asked to help...

10 Changes Necessary To Support Hogan in 2018?!?

Even at this early point in the game, I would still support Hogan. Annapolis moves slowly, and he has only had one Session. I would rather see his immediate priority be redistricting to undo the gerrymandering done by Glendenning and Owe'Malley at this point. One has to pick his battles, and...

      predictions on future gun legislation

Supposedly, Fox 45 ran a piece on extending MD law nationwide tonight; I missed it - did anyone catch it? What was the rationale?

      Protecting glasses while shooting

Like the OP, i am very nearsighted. I have multivocal contacts, then regular shooting glasses (no magnification, etc.) Which seem to work well indoors. Outdoors is a bit of an issue - I usually wear polarized Ray-Bans, but find that they don't work to well with an illuminated reticle on a...

Leave Your Guns At Home, Howard County

I am terribly disappointed. I voted for this guy because I thought he would stand up to such liberal nonsense. Should have known that you can't take the politician out of the boy.

How Old Were You When You Bought Your First Firearm?

First shotgun bought by my Dad when I was 12 (20 ga Remington 1100); first with my own money was a Remington 12 ga 3" magnum when I was 14.

      Skeet question

Geez! I guess I will date myself - in the 80 s I always used a 26" barrel with skeet choke (no tubes) in both 20 ga and 12 ga for pure skeet, and a 30" full choke barrel for trap. I thought any weight advantage you could get was the way to go for skeet. Since I have never shot sporting clays...
