He DOES HAVE a leg to stand on This is a tough one, but not without some merit. >You CAN claim self defense with deadly force if you meet the requirements. >You CAN use deadly force to defend another person IF AND ONLY IF you would be able to use deadly force IF YOU WERE IN THEIR SHOES...

      CRESAP closed for renovations

Lead abatement should not be an issue. You can call companies that will tear down your berms, remove the lead, and rebuild the berm. They do it for free, and then pay you a reduced price for the lead they remove. Building berms is not difficult. NRA & the Military publish standards. There...

      Books on Shooting

At 25 feet, you should be putting EVERY round in a 6 inch circle. Almost without exception, my students in Basic Pistol Class are putting every round in a 5 inch circle at 30 feet. I suggest you put up a sheet of newspaper, and a 2 inch black dot in the center. Then fire 10 rounds at the...

      Hunters Safety Course

This is a GREAT course. I took it and learned a lot, and the field exercise was EXCELLENT. Even if you are plinking on the back 40, it is worth taking this course for the safety alone!!

      Range improvements

Sorry Guys, it is a private range on private property. I was posting to give others ideas. If you have some land- put up a 8 ft deep, ft long shed and it CAN be heated easily in the winter. Home Depot has clear PVC pannels that are 12 ft long and 2 ft tall- one on eachn side and it is...

      Maryland Appleseed Thread 2011

Any group can get together outside their organization. If a Venture crew goes- it has insurance and a well known set of rules to follow; makes it easier for everyone.

When you go target shooting at the pistol range, how many rounds do you shoot?

When I teach, people ask me that all the time. My response is simple- Shoot slow enough to get the benefit of the practice, and when you get tired or frustrated-QUIT.
