Thanks for the input. I checked and am not disapproved. The FFL is closed on Mondays so I'll call Tuesday, hoping he will allow me to pick them up.
I wouldn't be buying these lowers except for the "ghost gun" ban. I have two AR's (7.62x39 and 350 Legend) built on polymer lowers and they have...
I gave the FFL the 77R application number and PIN, filled out the other questionnaire and paid for the AR15 lowers on 7/1/2022. Here it is 7/16/2022 and still no email from MSP okaying picking them up. Any suggestions on how to find out the reason for such a long delay?
I have an AR15 with a side charging handle. I like the side charging handle over the rear charging type. The only problem is that it loosens up during firing. I have used Loctite 290 (green Loctite) with no success. I am hesitant to use Loctite 242 (blue Loctite) because the screw is smaller...

I may have done this in the initial efforts to resolve the malfunction. In any case, I took your advice and when the weather gets better I'll see if it makes a difference.
In the OP I stated: "The hole in the bolt carrier was slightly blocked by deposits. I drilled out the slanted hole in the gas key with a 1/8" bit." I had to remove the gas key to observe the deposits in the bolt carrier and to drill out the slanted hole.
In April 2017 I built a 7.62x39 AR using a Palmetto State Arsenal 18" 7.62x39 mid-length complete upper, a Polymer80 lower and a lower parts kit. I purchased 5 C Products 10 round magazines, a scope and 200 rounds of Wolf Military Classic ammo. The rifle functioned beautifully right from the...
I have completed 3 80% polymer lowers. To start I drill though the holes for holding the two halves of the jig together and use 4-40 screws and nuts to ensure the jig holds the lower tightly. I clamp the jig and lower in a heavy vise and rather than use the drill bit provided to hog out the...
