How do you SBR a braced pistol under 29"?

Are there any other states that have the weird rule about OAL for an SBR? If it comes down to it, I'll SBR it at 29" and then get a suppressor pinned. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

How do you SBR a braced pistol under 29"?

I have a B&T APC9 with a brace. There is no easy way to SBR it and be over 29". Is there any discussion going for an exception to register currently braced pistols that would be under 29"?

      B&T APC9 Pro pistol options

With the brace its 23", but maybe there is a way to add the 6" with some kind of sliding mechanism that is 29" when extended but normal LOP when collapsed.

      B&T APC9 Pro pistol options

Well, I bought a B&T APC9 Pro with the intent of SBRing it and in the meantime just running a pistol brace. At the time, I had no idea there was an SBR minimum length as I thought SBRs were Federal standards. I reserved myself to the fact that I would have to run the pistol brace... If the...

New AR lower to pistol and then to SBR ok?

So basically if you are creating an SBR from a lower that has never been made into a rifle, you are good to go or do you need something that shows it was made into a pistol at some point, such as registering pistols with the state?

New AR lower to pistol and then to SBR ok?

Hello all, I finally moved here a couple of weeks ago (Military). Working at APG and live in Harford County. I have a trust and several NFA items (SBRs/Suppressers). My question for the expereinced members of the group is can I buy a lower that has never been assembled into a rifle, to...

      1911s are “obsolete.”

Sigh...I get it, you're a 1911 guy and have been forever. Once upon a time I thought the 1911 in .45 ACP was king and rifles should be made of wood and blued steel and chambered in .30cal or above. Hell, I even carried a NM M14 for a time during the invasion of Iraq. I call that my...

      1911s are “obsolete.”

I think Larry Vickers and Ken Hackathorn have said it best. The M1911 is an "enthusiast" weapon, meaning you need to be mechanically inclined and prone to conducting maintenance. It was designed at a time when labor was cheap and machining expensive. The inverse is true now. And for all...

New to MD, banned configurations or good to go?

Awesome! Thanks for information. My SBRs are all pre 2008 so good to go. Interesting on the pistols and braces..

New to MD, banned configurations or good to go?

Hello All, I am active duty military and just received orders for Maryland for this summer. I have a secondary residence and DL for PA, which is where my NFA items currently reside. My primary residence right now is in Massachusetts. As I get ready for the move I want to ensure I am in...

      Hello All!

Hello, I am a US Army Infantry officer and just found out today that I have been assigned to Aberdeen Proving Ground this summer. I am originally from Pennsylvania but have lived all over the US. My last two assignments were in firearm restricted areas (Fort Irwin, CA, and Boston, MA)...
