      learning how to hunt

This was my first year hunting. I asked questions mainly to my father but he hasn't hunted since the 80's. Spent a lot of time on the Web reading up as well. Got my equipment and items and hit the woods. Few weeks went by with no luck. Lots of deer but I just couldn't get them in range of the...

Needing someone in or around HarCo to look over a rifle.

The bolt at the open position is very loose and has wiggle when in the locked position. Minor pitting and rust on the action. I just don't like how loose the bolt feels. I have never owned a bolt action before. I would think it would be tight all around.

Only image I have of it at the moment. Top is a .58 cal with no markings other then .58 cal on the barrel and the bottom is the Firearms International 30-06.

Needing someone in or around HarCo to look over a rifle.

I do believe it is. I found that info out searching google. It looks in fair shape but I know absolutely nothing about bolt actions. I would just like someone to give it a once over and the go ahead that it is in fireable condition.

Needing someone in or around HarCo to look over a rifle.

Long story short I inherited a Firearms International Corp (stamped Washington DC) bolt action rifle in 30-06 from my great grandfather. I would like to fire the firearm but for safety purposes I want someone that knows exactly what they are looking at to check it over and give it the all...

      Crossbow scope

Hawke is talked up on on the xbow forums a lot. Once my factory Parker scope goes out I will be getting one.

      Deer skinning/gutting hoist

A little late but I made this the other week. Hangs off a hook on our tractor bucket. Lift the bucket, put the safety bar in place so it doesn't creep down and start the process.

      Want a crossbow

I just got a Parker Thunderhawk.... I love the thing. It fits me well, light weight and extremely accurate at 50yds. (I can but won't go any farther) Ten Point/Horton/Wicked Ridge and Excalibur have lifetime warranties..... Parker stopped their lifetime warranty in 2012 or so. The Parker fit...

Recommendation for a FFL in Hartford County

I've always had good dealings with Cooters Classic Firearms in Darlington. Charged a lot less for a regulated transfer then anyone else and I heard through the grapevine he is now a Class III FFL. Don't hold me too that one though. The business is run out of his home and he is very friendly.
