I have a pair of AAC 762SDN6 suppressors and a threaded Gemtech GMT300. The AACs are QD connection and the Gemtech threaded. The Gemtech is mounted on my 300BLK SBR and never comes off. The AACs move between my 5.56 and 30 cal rifles. I chose the AACs based upon dB reduction...
Living in Bowie, you are not that far from Engage Armament in Rockville. I would encourage you to talk to them also. They custom build AR's and are dealers for I believe all of the "brands" listed here. Most of their personnel also have significant experience shooting with that platform...
AR-10
When I bought my AR-10 the mfg inserted a piece of plastic in the 20 rd mag that stopped the follower from moving down far enough to allow more than 10 rounds to be loaded. I took that piece out and it works just like a 20 rd mag now.
Before you give up, what about a powder change? I'm still experimenting with mine and have gotten several different loads to cycle the rounds but still not lock back on the final round. I disassembled the BCG and found a lot of carbon build up in it. Cleaned it but have not gotten back out to...
With respect to your question on value/price, I purchased a 650XL with everything to reload, 9mm luger, 45ACP, 308Win, 30-06, 223/5.56, 300AAC (complete head units for each so basically pull two pins and change calibers), electronic scale, vibratory cleaner, tumbler/separator, etc 2 years ago...
If you will be doing any driving back and forth from State College to MD while working there, I would highly suggest making a side trip on the way to W.E. Sell in Hanover, PA. I drove up there Saturday for powder and they had a larger supply of powder than the Chantilly Gun Show vendors, as...
Justler,
Thanks for the info. Would have replied sooner but I typically only have internet access at right now and they won't allow access to the site (go figure!)

Anybody have recommendations for reloading equipment, particularly die sets? I want to begin reloading my again and plan to start with the .300 blackout. Thanks.
Most of the .38's I used this year (at least 200) were reloads given to me by my Dad. He and I had reloaded them over 40 years ago. All performed fine except for about a half dozen that the crimp was too loose on. On a couple the bullet made it all the way out of the barrel. The others it...
Not sure how long it took, but I think it was about a month from the time I sent in the application that I received my letter approving me as a collector.
A couple of thoughts based on my experience:
1.) There are usually a few dealers at the Chantilly Gun Show who can "facilitate" Maryland transfers. Typically several of the dealers there will have agreements with the MD dealers that allow you buy from one dealer and have the transfer handled...
I'm new to group (second post). This group was recommended to me by two other members, FHJ69 and ACMKIII. I moved to Montgomery County almost 4 years ago after commuting from Southern Cal to the DC area for almost 6 years. I've worked primarily Facilities and Construction for the DOD on...
