Copy all. Could one purchase a complete lower, supply a MD legal upper and have the FFL assemble the complete rifle as a service and transfer it as a a complete MD legal AR? I can't imagine this hasn't been covered before, I just can't find it anywhere.

So here goes another n00b question. Is there any law in Maryland against transporting a finished 80% lower. I have a coworker who thinks it is against Maryland law to transport an unregistered/un serialized firearm. This includes to a gun range, repair shop etc.
Thanks for your replies. From this thread as well as a little more research it seems that AR lowers aren't regulated but FFLs will treat them as regulated and make me wait?
