I've used my CZ (Huglu) O/U for bi-monthly trap shoots since purchasing it in May of 2017. It's the "Mallard" model, not the Drake. Not sure what the differences are but mine has two triggers and the receiver is silver. I did some rough estimates and I have at least 4100 rounds through it...

There is no such confirmation. A serial number is only required per the regs you already found. You're not a manufacturer, you're a private citizen. You can choose to put a serial number on your receiver/frame if you wish, or you can skip it.

This, so much this. I've been in training for work all day and just got home. Going to try to catch up on the bills and testimony today. From reading this thread it sounds like we were thrown a curve ball :/
The serial numbers applied in the matter are worthless for anything other than the person who owns the completed firearm. Going this route as a hedge against future laws/requirements is pure folly.
