Dry and modern basement will be fine.

I did get some WWII-era ammo that had been stored loose in an exterior garage, and that stuff had a fair number of hangfires. Eventually broke it down, sold...

This pretty much sums up the value proposition. It's a stock with a much more manageable (but configurable) LOP, it gives you a couple of modern sling attachment points, the recoil pad is generous,...

I think we'd really struggle to define - and enforce - period correct clones. Even though, IMHO, that is what would make this match completely awesome. I'll think about it some more (perhaps as I...

Best shotgun stock out there, IMHO. I've put it on a $225 shotgun, no regrets whatsoever. It really does improve the experience a ton.

I don't have any WWII rifles, lol. If we ever did a 60s Cold War match without ARs, I'd probably be into that, though.

Every Walmart I've been to lately has been 100% cleaned out on ammo, including shotshells. I don't go that frequently, though.

I bought a cheap-ish 1911 in 45 recently when I realized I had 5k LPPs and the primer shortage wasn't gonna end any time soon (thanks, Biden). I don't love 45 or 1911s, but I love not shooting even...

SWFA SS 10x or 12x would also be my choice, maybe with an Aero Precision mount. $300 is simply not much of a budget for a quality scope that's going to hold up to 308 for a long time.

1000 and 600 are very different balls of wax in my experience, mostly due to 308 starting to run out of steam at 800. I could nail 500-600 with my eyes closed compared to 1000.

Sitting lower doesn't really do anything in terms of acquisition or retention. I guess it marginally reduces height over bore, but that's not a real problem with more traditional MRDSs either.
