It’s nice but significantly overpriced IMHO. I have one on an 870 and a 590. I like the speedfeed stocks with the shell holders much better.

I have a CZ 527 in 7.62x39, it’s extremely high quality and deadly accurate (trigger has two settings) but it is pretty expensive and I am jelly of that treaded barrel on the Ruger.

If your friend wants one, tell him to throw out an offer of what he’d be willing to pay. The market is really high right now. I’d suggest starting low at $400 or so and if that shakes anything out.
