It took about 6 weeks to acknowledge the receipt of my packet (sent snail mail, 9/12/20), but then it moved at warp speed... relatively... I got my e-mail saying that they were processing my order on 11/2/20, and I had rifle in hand on 11/6/20... the day after my birthday...
My 19 Gen 4 came with three different grip inserts... they fit my grown-man hands as well as my daughter's hands too. I've not found the finger grooves to be all that distracting...
Well, before this thread takes a major dump... I lived in AZ for years before moving here. I went through the original CCW stuff before they became a constitutional carry state. That's said, it seems strange to me that an AZ LEO would just arbitrarily search a car like this... maybe times have...
Delica 4 is my EDC knife. I bought a PM2 and fell in love with it as a backpacking blade. I switch between the PM2 and a Benchmade Griptillian for backpacking.
I've not owned a Gransfors Bruks axe, but have been looking at them for some time... I always seem to get out bid on ebay.
My working/camping/bushcraft axes are a Marbles and a Cold Steel Camp ax... added together I think they were less than the Gransfors I've been looking at
I bought a used Austrian made M17 Gen 1 years ago... I think I spent $400 on it at the time. I bought a new (in the box) M19 Gen 4 with the upgrade recoil spring assembly for $450. The trigger took a bit of getting used to... I'm a 1911 guy... but both are completely reliable and reasonably...
Interesting thread... I bought a used Charter Arms version back in the '90's (?). Downsides: A "traveling zero" every time I took it down and reassembled... I think I can count on one hand the number of times I ran an entire mag without a FTF or FTE... accuracy was abysmal regardless of ammo...
Oooh... I love it when you call me names! lol! Seriously though... I had a Japanese made Tasco 36x World Class that I absolutely kick myself for parting with. At the time, I was more into fixed power scopes. I kept the Leupold M8 12x... it's currently on my .308 match rifle while I'm doing load...
Some of the Japanese scopes are great! I still go online in the hopes of finding an older Tasco World Class that's running under the radar... before a lot of vendors switched to something other than brass bushings and smaller parts. The glass was respectable too. I was looking at Leupolds on...
I hope so... I thought they were made in USA though. The one I received is Made in the Philippines. I looked up reviews and see that the Asian made versions seem to be as good as their older American made counterparts. I guess time will tell. After rings, I'll be slightly over my $300 budget...
lol! yeah, in the rarified air of "if price were no object" I'd be shopping Steiner, Leica, etc, but I don't have the budget of the DoD. I'm trying to keep glass for this beast in the $200-300 range. I found a Burris 6.5-20x50. I just need to find a local source for 1" rings and I can mount it...
I used to have an RCBS 505 scale. It was very accurate, but very slow. I switched to a Dillon electronic scale. It's simple to set up, very fast and efficient... but it was $130. For what it is, and how I use it, I think I probably overpaid...
Hey All... I'm looking at optics for my Ruger American Rimfire Target... what are all of you running? If you had to do it all over again, what would you change... if anything? Thanks in advance...
My goal was to just get on paper this morning... not too bad for the first time out and "ballparking" a zero without a borescope... only took 5 shots to start hitting bulls. She does seem to like the expensive food...
Ruger American with: Aguila Match; Eley Target; and Remington Golden Bullet...
